What Fractionals is
A community for people who run a company function for a fraction of the time, and for those weighing the move.
The idea
Working fractionally is a career people mostly teach themselves. There is no path, no standard contract, and the decisions that matter, what to charge, how many clients to carry, how to define a mandate, get made alone and often in the dark.
Fractionals puts the people facing those questions in the same room. It is not an agency and not a directory: it is people meeting in person in Milan, talking about how this work actually functions.
Who organises it
Hi, I am Tom. I work as a fractional CTO, carrying a few companies at a time, usually a day or two a week each.
Nearly twenty years across technology, product and growth: software engineer, engineering manager, CTO and product leader, in startups and international technology companies, across Argentina, the UK, the UAE and Italy. The questions that come up at the meetups are my questions too.
